Nike is on a mission to achieve a zero carbon and zero waste future within the brand and the new Move to Zero appeal collection shows just where the company heading. The collection blends recycled polyester with sustainable cotton, uses innovation dyeing techniques and all products meet 90 percent or better pattern efficiency.
We will see this innovation across classic Nike pieces such as the unlined Nike Sportswear Windrunner jacket that is 100 percent recycled polyester plain fabrication. The drawcords and zippers are made from Nike Grind.
The women's Move to Zero dress, shorts and crew pieces are meant to be cozy and feature a mix of at least 60 percent organic and recycled fabrics. The organic cotton used in the collecttion uses less water and fewer chemicals, improves farming practices and provide the same or better quality compared to standard cotton.
Also the mens collection features the same DNA as the womens product again with a mix of at least 60 percent organic and recycled fabrics to help reduce waste.
We can expect to see the Move to Zero Collection releasing this summer.
