With All Star Weekend taking place in the city of Chicago this past weekend. The energy in the city was unmatched and it was great to see so many brands make a positive mark on the youth. Both LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Virgil Abloh visited the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boys & Girls Club in East Garfield Park to celebrate the renovated facilities, new basketball court and the upcoming Nike All-Star Academy.
The guys stuck around for a panel discussion regarding their partnership and also judged a dunk contest. The new partnership will see the launch of the Nike All-Star Academy that will challenge the youth and its participants on-the-court with training and clinics from Nike Master Trainers and experienced coaches. Off-the-court, the Academy will provide club memebrs with exposure to sport-related education topics through workships and seminars in the areas of sport journalis, sciece and product design.
This is something amazing that Nike will continue to build NBA All-Star 2020. This will be a long lasting impact on the community and the youth.
