For me this year it's been about elevating things that I already have and putting them to use. Honestly, this is the first year that I haven't attended a million and one events so the things I own, well they're collecting dust so I decided to bring some stuff back!
I also wanted to highlight some new silhouettes from Vans because why not? We've all grown fond of their classics such as the Sk8-Hi, the Era and the Authentic but they've taken one of them to a new height, literally.
if you've been here for a while then you know I love a good jumpsuit, in my book everyone should have one in their closet. I grabbed this one from G-Star a few summers ago and happen to catch it one sale. I wore this in my first editorial I ever created with CNK. Since then I've worn a few times but not as often as I should. The simple navy and white stripes are classic. This could even be worn with some heels if you're feeling spicy.
Earlier this year I received the super dope Vans x Sandy Liang collection and I wish I could a chance to wear it right away but pandemic (eats chip, lol). However, my favorite pieces from that collection were both this polka dot bucket hat with the jacket to match. I've been dying to wear this for the longest and it finally made it's appearance. I've learned from June Ambrose that striped and polka dots do go together.
My good friends over at Vans found it in their hearts to let me pick out some sneakers that I would like try out and I instantly thought about the upcoming Fall season. I knew I wanted something different that I didn't already have in my collection and came across these platform joints that I thought was so fire. The Vans Era Stacked is not a light shoe, I'll be first to say that! The sneaker feature a chunky platform sole with a rigid gum outsole and the upper includes both suede and canvas that we're used to seeing on the OG silhouette. I'm interested in seeing how many ways I can style these babies. Again, wear your stuff ladies.
If you guys happen to grab of pair of these joints tag the kid! I would love to see how you style them up! Share the inspiration! Also, have a wonderful start to your week!
