First let's start with the fact I've been dying to wear this Jordan Women's Faux Leather Jumpsuit and honestly I haven't had anywhere to go seriously since last year around this time. Literally, this time last year I was in NY with CNK previewing the ASW collection. Even though the pandemic has changed a lot of how we do things around these parts it won't stop me from putting on some new pieces and hitting the Chicago streets sometimes, safely.
I was able to get my hands on the Air Jordan 4 'Starfish' (thank you Jordan Brand) and I couldn't hold off on wearing these luckily it wasn't snowing this morning but listen it was definitely still cold. I knew I wanted to pair these with a piece from the Court-To-Runway collection that I got from Jordan Brand over the holidays. The tone of the Russet jumpsuit paired well with these sneakers that almost look brown with the black mesh overlay.
Jordan Brand has been doing an amazing job with having apparel available to match the new releases for us ladies. I remember when there was a time where this was not the standard but look where we are now. Last week, you actually saw this coat already. The Jordan Women Faux Fur can't be transformed into a cropped jacket and I knew that was what I needed this morning. I knew that I didn't want to wear it long because it would take away from the jumpsuit but having the option to transform this baby came in handy. I paired it with a black mesh top I had from many years ago with a black Jordan women's sportsbra for a little extra umph and ofcourse a gold chain.
With this sneaker release I will say that I am looking forward to what the brand has in-store for us this year. The Air Jordan 4 has been introduced to us before in select colorways but this one is on a different spectrum, introducing some new innovation on a classic silhouette. Coming up next this year are the Air Jordan 1 'Silver Toe', the women's Air Jordan 9 'Multi' (I am not sure what they are calling that colorway yet) and we just got a closer look at the new collaboration from Jordan Brand and Aleali May.
The takeaway here, let's keep an open mind and get ready to experience some new silhouettes and materials. I think the days of shrinking and pinking are behind us yall.
What releases are you looking forward to this year from Jordan Brand?
