This Earth Day the swoosh introduced a new program on nike.com, that makes it easier to search, shop and learn about the sustainable features of their products. Now isn't that awesome? No longer do you have to guess or shift through the pages but it now has a designated tab on their website. The goal is to help connect more people to their process and create conversaion around sustainable design.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR:
Shop Sustainable Navigation: It’s now easier than ever to find sustainable product on nike.com with a new “Shop Sustainable Materials” tab in the navigation.
Badging on Product Walls and Product Display Pages: Nike.com will now display a Sunburst on product made with sustainable materials. This pilot is launching with apparel products and featured apparel made from at least 50 percent sustainable materials by fabric weight (either recycled material or organic cotton), excluding trims.
“How This Was Made”: A new tray feature on nike.com product pages, "How This Was Made," will be available for products meeting the at least 50 percent sustainable materials threshold and will include a description of the benefits of these materials compared to conventional materials.
