Dead Roses is back with their new Fall collection "Long Live G Baby" inspired by the baseball movie of our youth, "Hardball" and one of the standout characters Jarius 'G Baby' Evans. The film is about an underpriviledged youth baseball team from Chicago's Cabrini Green housing projects. It has gained many pop culture moments plus an amazing soundtrack as well.
But the collection reminds us to never forget that children who have lost their lives to violences throughout the ghettos of America. Unfortunately, 20 years later this is still an occurence throughout many communities.
The movie comes full circle as Dead Roses was able to tap actor Dewayne Warren to star in the campaign. Visting the Cabrini-Green Row Houses, he wears silk screen 6.1 oz cotton t-shirt. Designed with the intention of celebrating the life of the deceased character, "Jarius 'G Baby' Evans.
The second half of the "Long Live G Baby" collection celebrates G' Baby's game winning hit in the film which becomes a pivotal moment in the storyline. It includes the "Baseline Drive" graphic t-shirt accompanied with a limited editing holographic rookie baseball card.
