Sometimes us ladies like the celebrate the day of love with another love of lives aka sneakers. Over the years, brands have released a ton of silhouettes dedicated to cupid and his arrow and this year I thought I'll share a few of my picks. I own a few in this list and probably will be pulling them out.
Check out the list below.
One of the last drops from Jordan Brand made strictly for the ladies is the Air Jordan 14 ‘Shocking Pink’ that features a furry suede upper with pops of Infrared on the midsole with a pink milky outsole.
Originally released in 2018, this version of the Air Jordan 8 takes on a monochromatic look with an all red suede upper with hints of metallic. The sneaker was worn by one of our favorite sneaker ladies, Aleali May so you already know they’re solid.
This silhouette never fails us on a Valentine’s Day release and this 2021 pair infuses the trend of aging in sneakers with the cream midsole and swoosh. Plus, the heart on the side of the shoe is super cute.
The Nike Dunk silhouette has been on a hot streak for the past two years and the Verdy ‘Girls Don’t Cry’ SB is perfect for Valentine’s Day with its mix of red and white.
I think we can all give credit to Joe Freshgoods helping turn the tide of New Balance back in 2020 All Star Weekend in Chicago as many people waited outside to cop his newest collaboration. The color way is perfect for the special day. This silhouette definitely changed the narrative on how we viewed the brand.
COMME DES GARÇON PLAY CONVERSE CHUCK 70 ‘BLACK POLKA DOT’ & ‘WHITE POLKA DOT’
It’s a heart, it’s that simple. BUT seriously, this is one of my favorite versions of the Converse x CDG Chuck 70 with the polka dots and I think they are such a fun sneaker to wear and style. You can get these at a few places too.
I feel like these flew under the radar and even for myself too. These are super clean and you totally get away wearing these any given day besides v-day. The pebbled leather with the hits of hot pink are a vibe.
These are some of my favorite sneakers in my collection just because a lot of people hated them but boy did they look amazing when they are styled up. The hints of pink, purple and rust orange just work. Not for the faint of heart.
For those who want to keep things simple with a little pop of red. Adidas x Human Made dropped these maybe two years ago and they didn’t fly off the shelves but you can’t go wrong with a classic silhouette from three stripes.
Last but not least, the Air Max 90 ‘Valentine’s Day’ 2021, these have all the details that make a sneaker for the day of love. There’s light pink suede, white leather and of course hints of red. The ladies were all over this release last year and they still are worth wearing again in 2022.
Did any of these sneakers make your list?
