It's rare that I receive something from a brand that holds a little bit more meaning that just being a gift. I recently, received a package from Footlocker that included pieces from their Collaboraid collection. However, I wasn't all the way familiar with the initiative. If you're like me, you've probably seen the promotional video on your timeline but didn't give it a second thought. After receiving the package, I learned about something so dope that Footlocker was doing with other brands.
Footlocker has partnered with a community of creatives to assist those in need through exclusive collections of apparel and footwear. I happened to receive two pieces from their collaboration with Chinatown Market but it includes many others such as Jeff Staple, ASAP Ferg, Anderson Bluu and more. To celebrate the partnerships Footlocker is donating $250,000 to Soles4Souls to distribute its footwear donation. There will be more than 19,000 pairs of shoes put on the feet of kids in need across the globe.
