I’m one of those people who like to be prepared for things and usually find myself saying “no” to things such as panels and things of that nature because it made me extremely uncomfortable. When the founder of League of Their Own asked me to be the MC for their event with Outdoor Voices I took a day to think about it and finally said “yes.” I knew that this year would be the year where I get uncomfortable because I knew my glow up is on the other side of my fears.
Plus, I had to consult with at least four of my friends to really come to a decision. Shout out to them, they're the real MVP's.
With that being said, this past Sunday we traveled to the Southside of Chicago and conquered our fears! It was really fun for me to interact with the ladies and go around and get everyone loose and ready for a good time. I had an amazing time cheering from the sidelines (lol). The day consisted of relay races, tug-o-war and dodgeball which was one of my favorite parts of the day.
Not going to lie, it was so cool to see a group of women letting lose and getting active. Not caring about our hair and appearance but just having pure fun.
I want to thank League of Their Own for pulling me out of my comfort zone and Outdoor Voices for a really fun event.
Who’s booking me next?
